Our team consists of enthusiastic educators and students who are passionate about nature and developing leadership.
Co-Presidents
Frank Yan
Frank Yan is a rising senior at Quarry Lane School in California. He is a passionate advocate for the climate and believes that youth have immense agency in this regard. Frank placed 6th out of 37,500 competitors in the 2024 ClimateScience Olympiad, becoming one of ten participants awarded the Gold Prize. His proposal, called "Reviving the Range", aimed to solve the fodder production deficit in the Krygyz Republic. It was submitted to the Kyrgyz government and received high praise.
Sam Yan
Sam is a rising senior in Dublin. His passion for climate change was ignited by a discussion about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in second grade and has actively sought to make public policy more environmentally-friendly since. Sam placed 6th out of 37,500 competitors in the 2024 ClimateScience Olympiad, becoming one of ten participants to receive the Gold Prize and a $1,000 cash reward. His proposal was submitted to the Kyrgyz government to inform environmental policy in Central Asia.
Xilai Donald Zhu
Xilai Zhu is a high school student from Vancouver, BC. He is deeply committed to combating climate change and has long championed for environmental sustainability through innovative activities and community engagement. He hopes to inspire his classmates to take tangible actions toward a greener future.

Alex An

Eric is a student in Vancouver, BC.
Betty Bao
​Betty is a high school student at University Hill Secondary in Vancouver, BC. She is passionate about exploring climate solutions through day-to-day observations and advocates to the young generation the importance of taking action.
Nicole Duane
Nicole is a 12th grader at Lord Byng Secondary, and plans to pursue a double major in Computer and Cognitive science. She hopes to apply sustainable and ecological standards across all future projects in the technology sector.

Jessica is a 10th grade student passionate about biodiversity protection.
Jonelle Li
Jonelle Li is a youth leader committed to environmental advocacy and social justice. Jonelle aims to connect climate action with women's rights, empowering young women as change-makers.

John is an IB student at Upper Canada College. He is the founder of the UCC Climate Change Awareness Club and is an aspiring student in the field of AI and entrepreneurship. He co-founded a company with his peers and is passionate about math, technology and sports.

Daniel Chen
Daniel Chen is high school student from Vancouver, BC. He has been dedicated to solving climate change through his own actions and through empowering other youth to take action collectively.
Eric Li
Eric is an incoming 1st year at Harvard University. He has always been passionate about environmental sustainability, and is a firm believer in instilling a similar sense of interest and urgency to act within the younger generation.

Steven is a high school student in Vancouver, BC. He is passionate about nature-based solutions and helping youth get involved in climate action.
