Summer Camps
(Grades 1-7)
Designed to inspire wonder and cultivate a deep connection with the natural world, our camps offer a range of enriching experiences for young adventurers. From delving into the mysteries of ecosystems and sustainability to embarking on up-close encounters with plants, animals, and abiotic factors, each program is crafted to ignite curiosity and foster a sense of responsibility for our environment. Through our programs, students will learn to embrace the wonders of the natural world and acquire essential skills for understanding and preserving the environment.
Program Rundown
Online lessons
Covering five pillar topics: plants, animals, abiotic factors, ecosystems and sustainability
Interactive outdoor
activities
Individual and group activities paired with each lesson that encourage observation and exploration, as well as identification and understanding of BC native plants and animals
Outdoor field trips
Including trips such as the Beaty Biodiversity Museum and Capilano River (subject to change)
Final hands-on outdoor project
Aimed to challenge students to apply their knowledge to a physical setting
Focus on teamwork, responsibility and respect
Students will work together to discover and explore BC's habitats
Growing Glaciers
(Grades 4-7)
Our Growing Glaciers program is designed to get students more involved and adventurous with nature. Programs are designed to promote teamwork, classroom knowledge, and develop an appreciation for nature that needs to be preserved. Students will take advanced topics on plants, animals, abiotic factors, ecosystems and sustainability. Through our programs, students will learn how to explore nature as a team and build upon the previous building blocks they have developed.

2024
Our Growing Glaciers (Grades 4-7) summer camp program runs over the course of two weeks. The first week covers knowledge building with the second week having campers tackle various mini-projects. Each day starts with a 2-hour classroom component followed by an afternoon of hands-on learning. Our Growing Glaciers summer camp develops intermediate knowledge, comprehension of nature, and teaches respectful interactions with the environment. This program continues to build on contact, observation, and exploration, all while incorporating hobby introduction and classification activities.

Wee Waves
(Grades 1-3)
Our Wee Waves program is designed to get students up close and personal with nature and thinking about it in ways they have never done before. Programs are designed to promote exploration, contact, and observation as students take a closer look at the natural world around them. Students will be introduced to topics on plants, animals, abiotic factors, ecosystems and sustainability. Through our programs, students will learn how to responsibly interact with, observe and explore nature’s components.

Our Wee-Waves summer camp teaches basic knowledge and comprehension of the components of nature and encourages respectful relationships with nature through contact, observation, and exploration activities.
